Nuno Prazeres

Nuno Prazeres is the director of the Secretariat of the World Apostolate of Fatima, in Portugal, since 2004.

He studied at the Catholic University of Lisbon and then went to London to conclude his studies in Theology. He spent two years in Africa as a lay missionary. He is married and has three children.

Nuno’s grandfather was a personal friend of Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta Marto, the three little shepherds of Fatima. He and some of his other relatives were at the site of the apparitions on that October 13th, 1917 when the “miracle of the sun” occurred.

Part of his work includes keeping contact and visiting the various centres of the World Apostolate of Fatima, assisting them in their formation and pastoral programs. He also welcomes the pilgrims in Fatima and shares with them the message of Our Lady, by pointing out its relevance for today’s world.
