About St. Thomas Aquinas Society

Mission Statement

The St. Thomas Aquinas Society is a non-profit religious organization whose purpose is to promote the Truths of our Catholic Faith as taught by Rome, the Magisterium and to promote prayer and Eucharistic Adoration. We are excited about our Faith and want to share it. The more we know about our Faith, the more we will love our Faith. Love of our Faith will then issue forth in charitable works. We hold Our Blessed Mother in high esteem. We love her, honor her and encourage devotion to her as the Mother of God.

Declaration

The St. Thomas Aquinas Society promotes Jesus’ Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament. We believe that faith in and respect for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, the Holy Eucharist, is particularly critical at this time in history. Too many have been willing to give up this great truth.

The Society has a two-fold approach: prayer and education. The ministry, which consists primarily of the spiritual works of mercy, has been dynamic and life-changing. In our sin-weary world, we are called to continue the valuable work of bringing the light of Jesus Christ into the darkness.

The Society’s website is entrusted to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus and pays tribute to His Passion that gives us new life here on earth and eternal life with Him in heaven.  In times when denied the separate species, we believe it important to remember that the host consumed at Mass is the body, blood, soul and divinity of our merciful Lord Jesus Christ.

The St. Thomas Aquinas Society celebrates the accomplishments over the years which have given glory to God and which have permitted His grace to abound. This history is exciting to us and we hope to you as well. Won’t you please consider assisting us in these great spiritual works of mercy? We need your financial help.

May God bless you a hundredfold for your generosity to the St. Thomas Aquinas Society!

Pillars of Success

“Unless souls are saved, nothing is saved; there can be no world peace unless there is soul peace. World wars are only projections of the conflicts waged inside the souls of modern men, for nothing happens in the external world that has not first happened within a soul.”

This quote from Peace of Soul by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen clearly indicates man’s need.  Man is composed of body and soul.  We see many organizations which have been founded to take care of the physical needs of the body.  These organizations are a great blessing to individuals and to communities.  But each man also has a soul that needs equal attention.
Our purpose is to nourish the soul.

In his farewell address, George Washington said, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports.  In vain would the man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.  The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and cherish them.  Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.  It is substantially true that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government.”  (Discourses on the Apostles’ Creed by Rev. Clement H. Crock, p.163)

By nourishing people’s souls through conferences, retreat days, and other spiritual offerings, we are having a positive impact upon individuals in their personal lives and in their resulting outreach.  Because these offerings are free, no one need ever be excluded due to lack of money.  Also, one need not be Catholic to attend.  We believe that Jesus Christ has the answers and that presenting the teachings of Jesus Christ brings much healing to hurting souls.  We also believe that those touched spiritually at our conferences will see and fill a need for the corporal works of mercy within their own communities.

The Spiritual Works of Mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor in spiritual necessities (CCC #2447), those being focused on getting a soul to Heaven. The seven Spiritual Works of Mercy are:

– Admonish the sinner

– Instruct the ignorant

– Counsel the doubtful

– Comfort the sorrowful

– Bear wrongs patiently

– Forgive all injuries

– Pray for the living and the dead

Goals of the Society

To promote the teachings of the Roman Catholic Faith through:

  • Free distribution of educational materials
  • Free conferences
  • Free lectures
  • Retreats
  • Seminars
  • Books, video and audio recordings

To promote prayer and Eucharistic Adoration.

Bishop Fulton Sheen rightly observed, “There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church — which is, of course, quite a different thing.”

Objectives of the Society

The goals of the St. Thomas Aquinas Society will be achieved through the following objectives:

  • Retreat days dedicated to prayerful reflection and education in our Catholic Faith.
  • Healing Masses dedicated to those in need of healing in mind, body, and spirit.

  • Provide an education website.
  • Provide a Youth Outreach program.
  • Provide resources for Home Schooling families.
  • Build, rent, or purchase facilities to support retreats and conferences, house administrative offices, provide a resource center for home-schooling, and an activity center for outreach programs.
