Carolyn King (Baber)
Carolyn King (Baber) is an inspiring Catholic speaker, teacher, and convert from Lutheranism. At the peak of a successful business career as an Investment Consultant, Carolyn was featured in the Wall Street Journal and was interviewed on Tom Brokaw’s NBC Nightly TV News in a story titled: “How successful women balance work and family”.
In 2000, Carolyn felt God’s deepening call in her life, which started her on a prayerful journey that led her to the rich discovery of Jesus Christ in the Sacraments and Teachings of the Catholic Church. She went on to discover that true success is found in responding to the call of God to each of us, to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ and His Church, and to bring the love of Christ to others.
Carolyn recognized her own call to teach, inspire, and evangelize, in order to help others deepen their faith and to recognize their own gifts and calling. She has travelled the Country to give inspirational talks at National and Regional Catholic and Diocesan conferences, parishes, missions and women’s groups. She began her speaking ministry in 2001 with St. Joseph’s Communications, served as a CCD teacher and taught in a Catholic women’s prayer group in her home diocese for four years. In 2004 Carolyn was a guest on EWTN’s The Journey Home, where she shared her moving conversion story.
Carolyn is deeply devoted to The Church and Sacraments, Scripture, The Blessed Mother, and the Saints. A dynamic mother, grandmother and radio Marketing Consultant who has experienced the challenge of divorce, Carolyn knows firsthand the strength and healing power that comes from Adoration and the Sacraments. She believes that the challenging times we live in are no match for the transforming grace of God!
