Merry Christmas!
Dear Friends,
Wishing you and your loved ones many blessings for Christmas, the New Year and all of 2024!
At this time of celebrating Christmas, we start a new beginning with the birth of Jesus. In the fullness of time, He was born of the Virgin Mary.
We know the story and celebrate it every year, however, for many it has become a commercialized holiday. With the busyness of these times, Jesus can get left out of the equation. Remember to say Merry Christmas and God bless you! These words provide a blessing.
During these days of Christmas, we are reminded of God's great love for us, that the Father sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us. Thinking about His humility and that of Mary and Joseph, we are reminded that we find Him in the stillness. Our hope is that you will be able to find Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the whole wonderful and amazing story of Christmas at this time of year. Hopefully, you will be able to take some quiet moments to reflect on this incredible gift, on being Catholic, and on the sacraments of our Catholic faith which keep us alive spiritually. We are so blest and so enriched every day.
We are also grateful to the Holy Spirit whose overshadowing of Mary and her Fiat resulted in the Incarnation of Jesus Christ. How rich we are to live in these times!
As worldly events become more challenging, let us carry our faith in our hearts so that we can be beacons of God's love wherever He leads us. Remember that "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks", Matthew 12:34. Let's keep our hearts filled with the love of God.
We ask the Holy Spirit to lead us, guide us and walk beside us.
Once again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thank you and God bless you - Therese
